15th June 2006

Dear Ms. Godman,

ROF BISHOPTON – PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT

I refer to our meeting at Bishopton Library on 31st March 2006 and my letter to you of the same date. I enclose a copy of my letter.

You replied on 11th April to say that you would respond to the issues raised by Bishopton residents once you had a chance to meet with BAE.

As it is now 11 weeks since our meeting, and the Third Alteration 2006 to the Glasgow and the Clyde Valley Joint Structure Plan has now been submitted to Scottish Ministers for their approval, I am writing to request that you reply to my letter as a matter of urgency.

I refer to your comments in a previous letter to one of your constituents when you stated that you "have continued to take the view that any development should be independent of the existing village and have its own infrastructure" and that this could include the "possibility of re-opening the Georgetown station" with the creation of a new community to the east of the site.

I would like to seek your reassurance that you will present these views to the Scottish Ministers when they are considering the ROF proposals.

I would be grateful for a reply to my letter of 31st March and your comments on the above.

Yours sincerely,
